Now gone to its new home was this lovely Bright Red example,MGB Roadster. A GHN5 Classic True Chrome Model.Built at the end of 1973 and delivered to its 1st Owner in Feb 74.As I can see the car was fully Re commissioned around 2003,showing a mileage on the MOt in the file, then of ,and I expect genuine 84,000 .Today its reading 93,000 miles from its Brand New MOT just carried out,so less than 10,000 miles have been covered post it’s Restorations in 17Yrs!. The last 2yrs have been in storage by a collector. It’s clear from my inspection that many panels have been replaced,the metal work is excellent together with a fine Re Paint in Glorious Bright Red,remaining a joy to polish today. The Engine was replaced with an MG Owners Club Fully Re Built Unit,fine for Unleaded Fuel together with a very smooth “Overdrive Gearbox”together with Servo Assisted Breaks,all performs wonderfully.An Independent Engineer has gone through this B with the only find on its super MOT,a slight leak Rear Silencer,that is being replaced as I write.
